Hi - a very nice find again! :)

It's the 1st time I can see a TouchPad prototype.


If you were able to install a normal OS, then it means this prototype was flashed with production versions of the Boot1 and Boot2.
Could you tell us the Boot1 and Boot2 versions? (home + 5 + 4 and then the 'about' button)

I wonder if a rechargeable battery can be installed or not - so I'll be looking forward to the PCB photos :)
Usually, DVT hardware is very similar with Mass Production hardware.
EVT prototypes features usually much more hardware differences, but we'see.

I don't know if asking this is againts the forum rules.
Would it be possible, for development and archiving purpose, to have a dump of the Boot1, Boot2 and Diags?
Performing this is quite easy once Ndless is installed: you just need to run my 'Polydumper' tool:

来源比较复杂，不过可以说是那批货里面的一台

PCB及系统信息见图
由于键盘严重错乱(仅esc,menu,tab,enter和7,4,1,9,6,3几个数字键正常工作，doc变成了home，ctrl + doc才是真正的doc。方向键和触摸板完全不工作。感觉变成了ClickPad的键盘，因为按B字母居然会直接出现cos......)，目前根本无法正常使用（主要是很难打开指定文档，所以很有可能无法dump了,晚上我会试试ndless的startup功能）只是得到了Boot1的版本（见图）。
Boot2因为刷了3.2所以版本可以确定了（和正常的应该是一样的）。
PCB除了没有充电电池感觉和最终版本差别不大。
另外我想问一下，是否更换为正常的键盘就可以使用了？键盘上也有DVT1字样。

chsi, if you still have it, could you install OS & Ndless 3.1 on your TI-Nspire TouchPad CAS DVT prototype and then run nsNandMgr ?

You don't need to reflash anything.
On the 'manuf' line in the 2nd column, I'm just wondering which type the ASIC does report.
"Nspire", "Nspire CAS" or nothing ?
It should be either "Nspire CAS" either nothing.




On TI-Nspire ClickPad DVT prototypes, the ASIC reported no type, which let us mod them into TI-Nspire CAS very easily by just reprogramming a single byte in NAND.

It seems that the TouchPad DVT prototype ASIC chip does include the model type (CAS/non-CAS) which wasn't included in the ClickPad DVT prototypes ASIC chips.
