Yes it's possible, although it's dangerous (any error may brick the calculator permanently).

1st, follow the how-to to mod your TI-Nspire CM into a TI-Nspire CX : https://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=16095&lang=en
then, follow the how-to to install Nlaunchy CXM with a TI-Nspire CX CAS OS : https://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=12693

You'll then be able to install any TI-Nspire CX OS up to version 3.3.

You won't be able to install TI-Nspire CX OS 3.6 and newer.
Because Nlaunchy doesn't correctly patch the new OS 3.6 hardware check.
