入手不常见extordinary nspire cas touchpad DVT 工程机，一些发现及上图

say hi~ to critor and any other international friends~
this topic is about some prototype touchpad CAS i bought this week:
the first one is just the same as those you have talked before, which has"not for sale DVT" on its back and a clickpad PCB inside.

While,while while ,the next one may be a private designed one? which has "PROTOTYPE 014" on its back, and a exordinary PCB in side.And, there was a well fitted 4pin li-ion battery inside .  However the  battery  can only be treated as a external power source.  Here are the photos ~

店家不是真正的JS，把自己倒霉的两台2.0.0.88几的工程tp升到3.6后发现键盘飘逸了，于是便宜出售
（论坛有老帖子提到过，升级后是tp键盘按照cp识别，各种飞）

第一台跟之前论坛里提到过的差不多，背面刻子一个系列的，拆开后发现pcb布局跟cp cas几乎相同，怪不得升级后跟cp cas的主机效果一样。如下面3张图

第二台大不一样，背面标号专门prototype，而且拆机后屏幕后面pcb有专门的4pin电池针座，而且自带一个比较精致但是表面没有任何文字的4pin锂电，在3.6跟2.0系统中均不能识别锂电，只能识别为充电如下面好多张图

2.0.0.1188回归成功，淘宝确认收货。

按键正常了。


即使是开机删系统的那个界面，按键也是错的。看来很难解决这个问题...不过3.6不会自毁，像是用了正式版CP的主板

很可能～

it is s pity that the former owner update those 2 prototype to 3.6.0.550, left nothing useful in its nand

i successfully downgrade them to 2.0.0.1188 and only in this os can the tp keyboard works well.  Every new os will treat this nspire as cp cas.

is there any new ways to deal with this kind of situations?

这种DVT的打黑wtof也有一台，之前也研究过怎样结果错乱的问题，
但是最终未能找到机型识别的关键。
倒是研究了一下Keypad方面的东西，发现比较麻烦。
首先，原来的按键中断是可以被禁止的，实测禁止后除方向键和菜单、Esc这种键外全部失效。
如果自己截获那个中断的处理，然后对按键进行重映射也不是不可能。
之后就是Touchpad的问题了。事实上，所有Touchpad机型都是没有方向键的，方向都是通过识别坐标实现的。那么，也就是说要自己实现一个Touchpad驱动（nspire linux内核里有这个驱动），然后再映射到方向键上。
或者直接按照USB HID驱动的方法来搞，彻底屏蔽掉原来按键扫描的东西，然后自己重新实现。
总之，就是应该完全可行。只不过我没什么兴趣为它写这个程序……
PS，我的正式版大黑在删系统界面的按键有时也是错的。

顺便提下，我买过大概五六台工程机了，有几台还是不能开机的拿来修好的。但是Nand中都没有留下任何有用的东西，所以我认为所有工程机在流出之前就是格式化过的，丢东西应该不是卖家的事情。

发现tp方向键的原理了，拆看看的时候注意到只有一个大簧片，不分方向，猜测跟触摸有关。

键盘问题。。。唉；猜不出跟哪里有关。diags1.0.0只有keyboard失败，其他都通过。

卖家首先说自己这台能开机触摸只是没有中文，更新后纠结了，所以觉得或许是没格过的。

Nice find, again.
Especially the 'PROTOTYPE', which is even older than 'EVT' or 'DVT', one of the first manufactured handhelds for this model.

It would be interesting to have photos with the black sheet removed and thus the main chips (ASiC + Flash) exposed.

It would also be interesting to dump the apparently very old 2.0 OS according to the screen capture ;)

Note for the keypad problems.

You should try to replace your prototype/DVT keypad with a production keypad, and see if the problem does persist.

Prototype/DVT touchpad keypads are supported separately from production touchpad keypads in our TI-Nspire emulator.

//and the ndless 2.0 goes wrong on them, every program will cause a restart.

Even if it's been updated, it should still have its original Diagnostics software which can be dumped with polydumper for example.

Interesting pictures. You've got the J04/JTAG connector and it seems to be the same connector as the one in some TI-Nspire CX/Color prototypes.


Would a photo of the other side of the PCB with the huge ASIC chip be possible too ?

now i am not in my apartment and will finish these task late

by the way: in this  os 2.0,1,the ndless 2.0 can be installed "ndless sccessfully installed", but none of the programs can be launched.  the examples returns nothing,and the nsnandmg will cause a restart
