Released today, the tiny utility "DowngradeFix 3.9" finally allows you to reinstall OS 3.6 on your TI-Nspire CX or TI-Nspire CX CAS running OS 3.9 (3.9.0.461 or 3.9.0.463).
And indeed before you ask, the old black & white TI-Nspire ClickPad and TouchPad are not supported yet.
Installation is very simple - as explained in the how-to below, you will simply need to open the file, reconnect the USB plug, and send OS 3.6 !


Therefore, today is the day Ndless 3.6 is brought back to life !

Students are again able to properly do their school work for computer science with Micro Python and its editor pyWrite, exams candidates to test the new PDF document reading solution with nPDF, and everyone will be able to relax with the Nintendo Game Boy Advance emulator and nDoom!

It's a side effect which happens randomly as far as we can understand for now.

Go into "0.Additional Function" and then validate "Go to OS mode".
Then press 'reset' on the back of the calculator - it should reboot into the OS.

Then try again, with a little more luck ;)

*Warning*

We've been reported that the latest manufactured TI-Nspire CX do come preloaded with a new OS, 3.9.1.38.

According to the owner :
- DowngradeFix doesn't work on that version
- versions 3.9.0 cannot be installed from that version

So, no downgrade and no Ndless up to day for the new TI-Nspire CX coming with OS 3.9.1.38.


Unfortunately, version 3.9.1.38 is not available on TI servers.
In order to port DowngradeFix for it, we would need somebody to dump it for us from a newly bought TI-Nspire CX, using the following tutorial for example :
